For those that make it to Trumbull on Sunday there will be a slightly tweaked course for the Great Pumpkin 4 mile run- Since the front of Trumbull High School is under construction we cannot run around it at the finish as we have the last 18 years. We will still enter the campus from the back gate as we have the last 3 years, but you will go to the left behind the school towards the football field (driveway). And as we did for many years- we will finish on that driveway but in the opposite direction.
However This made the course approx .3mi shorter. To make up the difference we now have a .15 out and .15 back section in mile 2- which is on a dead end
road. I hate to make a change but any other solution involved completely changing major roads. This was the best solution for the runners and the police. Once
construction is finished in a year or so- we go back to normal.
I hope you'll come to Trumbull despite the forecasts. You never know what the weather is in another location- even f it's raining where you are. The
MADD Dash stratford was perfectly dry- even though it was raining in New Haven at the same time. Hope to see you there!!! Lots of food and awesome long sleeve
